Modifying 85-90 TA front bumper...

Has anyone modified the front stock TA bumper to cover the leading edge of the parking/headlights and move the parking lights into the bumper? I would think you could cut the pieces out, and then raise it to the level of the surrounding bumper peices, and cut holes for the parking lights.

Any pics?

Wait - isn't that a picture of the 82-84 ground effects? The front bumper I have has fog light holes in the bottom corners of it, and has side skirts that have door pieces too...

What I mean is to cover the turn signal light and the leading edge of the headlight with the bumper plastic itself (like the 91 and newer front end thats smooth where the headlights are). I would move the turn signals into the bumper like a 93-03 T/A, rounded around the edge of the bumper.

I understand what you're saying. Just continue the center portion where the small bird is all the way over to the fender to hide the recess for the headlight (where it says PONTIAC) and the parking lights.

I think it would be cool if you moved the parking lights where the fog lights are on 85-90 T/A's and then cut two holes on either side of the licance plate for the fog lights....identical to 93-97 Trans Am's.

If you could make the front parking lights wrap around the cornor, so you could see it from the sides, it would be legal to shave your side markers too.

I'd have to see a few photoshops of this before I even considered it, but it could look cool.

Matt

yea that looks nice. just dont use bondo on that, it wont hold. you will have to use fiberglass to do that, but the best way would be to mold more urathane over those spots and then use a body filler with flex agent to get that smoth look.

either way, you wont be able to hit anything and get away unscathed.

thanks
anthony
