Functional Ram Air Hood Question......

Hey Guys, I just ordered my Functional Ram Air hood for my 1989 GTA. I ordered it from Ramairhood.com. It comes with the air box, and the K & N filter. The question I have is, When I am driving in the rain, how do you keep the water from going in the scoops and getting into the air filter and into the throttle body etc?? or when you go thru a car wash, etc.
Thanks, I appreciate any info.
Mike

the water doesnt come in the hood bc the way the hood is opened to the outside air and the way the hood are. Ive never taken the car through the car wash so i dont know , but when i was it thats about the only time i can get some water in it, and its only when i directly spray the front. Check the pics in my sig.

Yeah, LOL. In Florida in the Summer time with the way it rains, I wouldn't be able to drive it all! I have really been wondering about this. I can't imagine they would design it so it would take on water. But you never know. Hopefully someone has the answer. By the way, that hood looks sweet on your car. I won't have mine for about two more weeks.

This is my friends setup (it's mine now, but that's not important right now), and he had this on his car for over a year and didn't have any problems. Car is his daily driver.
Looks like it would get water all over the filter if you sprayed a heavy stream in there, but rain shouldn't be a problem.
Just be careful when you are washing the car.

Awesome setup. Where did you guys buy your hoods from? And how did they line up (gaps). did you guys have any problems with alignment?
Thanks

That Ram Air 2 hood and airbox is from RamAirHoods.com.
My old Ram Air 2 hood and my Ram Air 1 hood are from ASCD.

All 3 hoods require fender and headlight alignment to get them to sit perfect on his and my cars.

OK guys, last question. LOL What do you do with the mass air flow sensor on the functional ram air hood? Does it just relocate to the front? Does the new air box come with directions to relocate it?
Thanks
Mike
