New Console
Well, I was building a custom console for my car but something happened and I had to change everthing I was doing. I decided it would be easier to just get a new console. It is out of an 82-84 Firebird or Trans am
It will actualy work out better for my knight rider conversion. The console door needs a little work or a new one if I can ever find one. I have some custom mods already done to it as well.

The new mods so far is that the bottom part has been painted black to match everything else and the glove box part has been customized to house my new PS2. The old console was being modified to hold one of the older PS2's but it died on me so I had to get one of the new PS2's and it fits a lot better.
It still needs to be braced inside but as you can see it fits really well in there. I will post more pics when I get it installed.

Here is a pic of a friends car. You can see that the front part where the controlers will plug in should be accesible. Just the power button and all that will be blocked by the chair but that I can deal with.

if you do decide to actually put the ps2 in the console you need to have it ventilated well enough or it will over heat and die. also i dont see how you are going to power the ps2 specially the slim version since it needs that special ac power adapter.

The bottom part under the ps2 is going to be open and possibly put a fan under there to help circulate the air. I already have a power inverter in the car and the ps2 is in there already. The inverter is underneith the drivers seat so I can turn it on and off whenever I need to.

The console that I put the ps2 in is the correct console for a knight rider conversion. If you couldnt tell I am building my own version of KITT with my own touches to in. Including the ps2 in the center console.
