The 2 arms connect to the sides of the actual hatch glass. I have a '91 T/A and on the frame of the hatch there are hook-like clips that will slide into the arms of the spoiler to hold it down against the glass. So you will probably have to buy those separately.

you should try a GM dealership and ask for the hooks someone told me that they still have them... i dont have a part number but its worth a shot...i was trying to buy a spoiler off of someone on this site a hunter green one and he couldnt find the hooks and told me that i should be able to get them through gm

YOU NEED THEM... it could def rip off without them

i had the same problem a few months ago. I couldn't find any clips and didn't want to grind them off if i did find em. My solution was simply some strong double sided tape. Cut the width of the tape down a little and attach it to the metal around the hatch glass.

It has been working for about 3 months now even with speeds of 90+. Might be an alternative for you to think about.

I will attribute to the double sided tape thing.

It works, but not for long. Every 6 months or so, the tape will need to be replaced as it is weathered.

Now, it is a ghetto way of doing things, but if you can't find the proper clips, well then, thats what you have to do. Its a quick fix.

also i just read from your other thread that someone said you had to have the hatch trim from a 91-92 model to install the spoiler? can anyone confirm this?

i was told all you need was the hooks and then drill new holes...?

what all is needed for installation?

hey morote got those parts yet?

do you have to weld the metal hooks to your existing hatch trim? How does it work? I cant decide whether to find a 91-92 or get the reg gta wing

if you have to get those hooks welded to your existing hatch trim then ill forget it

so you have a aero spoiler now???

if so then you prob have to grind them off
what condition is your spoiler in if you have one id be interested in buying if in good condition

if you have the normal 85-90 aero wing then it clips on there are no hooks...if you have 91-92 spoiler straight wing spoiler then youll have the hook setup that holds them on

i have the normal aero wing now and im going to high rise style, im replacing it because a tree fell on it and now its bent and warped like crazy, funny thing is, it used to have a notch back but a tree fell on the garage and almost totaled the car,(trees dont like GTAs?) and the previous owner couldnt find a replacment notch back that insurance would cover. i have some old poloriods of the car with the notch back i wish i had it then!
