hood recommendation
After I get my job and get some money, im hoping to buy a hood. I went a fiberglass cowl induction one, but my brother bought one recently and it was wavy and needed to be smoothed out to looked anywhere near nice. Can anyone recommend a hood distributor that has a good product, preferably that only needs to be sanded and painted or so.
Thanks
Thanks

from what ive seen your prolly not gonna find a hood that doesnt need a good amount of sanding to be perfect. someone i talked to said that it saves on cost selling the hood in a non finished condition.

i get that
i know that i wont find a bolt straight on outta the box hood. Its just that my brothers had visible waves from 20 ft. away. Im looking for one that i just need to sand, primer, and paint. if anyone knows of one like that, lemme know.

Supposedly, the best fiberglass hood out there is the Cervini's hood. It's a 3" cowl. Members that have it say it barely needs any finishing and fitting. Of course, this costs you a bit extra.

personally, i wouldnt want to pay $400+ for a hood, the $100+ for shipping, they for sanding, primer, and paint, tools, etc. thats gonna run you $700 or so for just your hood...
i got my 2" cowl, in great condition from a junk yard. be careful when refinishing fiberglass...one little mistake, and your done for. i only paid $100 for my hood, havn't gotten around to refinishing it yet. but i like it.
