Need opinions on paint choice and photoshop needed
Hopefully soon i will be repainting my 91 RS. Current color is Dark Bright Teal metallic, and dont get me wrong, i love the color but then i saw the Phantom Blue Mica on the newer Mazdas and now im on the fence about just repainting my car the same color with a little more metallic or change it up a bit. Just wondering what everyones opinion on the phantom blue is and how do you think it would look on a camaro. Im leaning towards this color because like i said i do like the teal, and Mazdas blue actually does have a deep teal look to it in certain lighting. And the Phantom blue just looks sweet in sunlight. Maybe someone could also photoshop this along with throw me some opinions. Thanks!

Virtually impossible to PS a pic with a matching metallic/flip-flop/pearlescent paint.
But, got a pic of the Mazda blue to want? I'll give it a shot.

A'men brotha, they are just one of those cars that you just cant help but love, even with all the rattles and bangs lol. And thank you by the way! Hopefully this person does not mind me using their car pics as references, but here are some of the blue i would like, as you can see the color has changed from each of the pics due to lighting. I cant figure out how to get any of these pics to shows so i will just paste the site in. http://mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=89047
Whatever you can come up with is greatly appreciated. If you can do one where the car is the blue and another when the lighting is green that would be sweet!

Re: Need opinions on paint choice and photoshop needed
Kudos to you and your CLEAN Camaro!
About your paint choice--think about why you like your car. I bought my first thirdgen (beat up red 91 v6) and painted it black. I loved it, but I thought black was sleeker and to be honest, I really liked Knight Rider. It was my daily driver and I didn't care about keeping it original. That car was totaled in an accident and I picked up my current Maui Blue Formula 350.
Initially I wasn't a fan of the Maui Blue, but it has a 350 and the price was right. I was thinking about painting it black up until the last car show I went to. I realized that Maui Blue is a very seldom seen color--I've never seen it on any GM car but a thirdgen. I have since decided to keep it the factory color. Plus, I like the irony of a baby blue car...that can kick your ***.
I see my car as a snapshot in history. It's the pinnacle of American automotive engineering--in 1988. In fact, I've decided AGAINST an LS1 conversion for just that reason. When I'm rich and retired (God willing), I'll have my car collection--that will definitely include my baby blue Formy 350
Your teal isn't a very common color, and it might be worth it to preserve that little bit of Thirdgen history. On the other hand, the Mazda color is awesome. What does your car mean to you? Is it a snapshot of history, or is it your kickass hot rod (or both)? If it's the latter, paint it the Mazda blue--it's a great color. Either way, you have my applause for keeping one more Thirdgen in great shape

Re: Need opinions on paint choice and photoshop needed
I totally agree with you on that. I have always kept that in the back of my mind on how my car is a very rare color. But hearing it from someone like yourself, i think i will keep it my teal metallic. I want the car the be a nice street car and a car i can bring to the shows. Ill tell you what, i have only seen one camaro my color at a car show. Never seen one anywhere else except on this site. I thank you for putting your thoughts and ideas into a different perspective for me. By the way, i saw a Maui blue firebird at my work the other day lol.

Re: Need opinions on paint choice and photoshop needed
for the most part the paint is in excellent condition, especially for a 91. The only spots that really need it are the front valance, the top of the car, and the rear deck lid. I think GM used cheaper paint or something because alot of it has flaked off in those spots. Every time i look at it i get mad because the rest of the car looks fine and then there spots with no paint lol
