Want to see my new Tail Lights???
Before...
After
It only took a couple of hours to do... Washed them with dish soap in the bath tub, and then wet sanded with 600 and tapped it up.
Sprayed the black base coat and then pulled the tape off and hit the whole thing with clear.
I might tent them just a hair black when i get the car painted... we will see.

Just a tiny bit of tint not much... I need to see what it looks like when the car is painted. Im also not a fan of blacked out tail lights i think it looks like rice.
I would do a little less tint than these.

Brando, where are those tail lights from? I like those for my '92. Since mine is black, it would blend well I think.
Thanks...

What kind a clear coat did u use beacause when I got mine done at the paint shop they came out brand new but when I tried to do it on my own I get like drippy lines on it almost like the paint isn't good with the material on it, my paint shop told me that is the paint that I used.

Re: Want to see my new Tail Lights???
I used WANDA Black base coat and DuPont clear, and hell no i didn't use a rattle can.
I didn't sand down the markings. The lights weren't in really bad shape so i didn't have too.
I could have just taken some compound and hit it with the buffer and it would have came out looking great but it wont last like a clear coat will.

Very nice. A lot better than what I see from most of the members here. Nice gloss, even coverage, crisp taped lines. Great work.
Perfect amount of "tint" BTW. Too dark and it looks cheesy.
What did you use for "tint"? Mix of clear and black base? or something like night shades.

Great job on those tails. The light tint looks awesome, justa adds that little extra touch but not to far over the top.
