Is it worth the trouble, 92 Drop top TA?
I been in this hobby a long time, but new to the 90's F-body cars. A friends got a running stock but needs paint, seats etc 92 convertible auto 205hp engine for next to nothing ( Like $1300 dollars) is it worth the cost of new paint, tires etc or is it more a car that could be worth the expense of the repairs 5 or 10 years from now. Half of me says walk away and the other half remembers my 73 SD that I purchased 20 years ago for $4500 dollars. Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the thoughts. As a Pontiac guy I just hate to see a rare car rot away. The price (at least to me) dropped to $1100. At that cost I may as well get it and put it in the garage as a future project. Kind of like the 73 purchased in 1994. I didn't get to it till 05. In the mean time it keep giving my a return on capital much better then stocks...plus it was fun to work on.

If you do buy it, keep in mind that the bumpers and ground effects for 91/92 Firebirds and variants are hard to come by in good condition, and often when they are found they're going to cost an arm and a leg.

Its not all that rare, or powerful. Id buy it for that price though, seems fair (not a smoking deal, but ok). I wouldnt bank on it appreciating much though.
