Plasti Dip

Hey guys, im new to the forums and figured id ask my first question. There's a reason my username is what it is lol. My 89 rs isnt the prettiest out there right now but im thinking of plasti dipping it my self. has anyone here done it? whats the best gun/tip size to use and can i get a half gallon or gallon of plasti dip? and is it possible to give it a more glossy look instead of it being completely flat? thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions!

Re: Plasti Dip

dipyourcar.com has all you'd need to do it. they do sell a glossifier now. i used rattle can plasti dip on my hood and was not happy with it. i havn't ripped it off yet but i have not given up on plasti dip i think a spray gun being used would probably have way better results. so until i do that i won't have a true opinion on plasti dip

Re: Plasti Dip

Sand and put in a colored primer. That would be a better alternative to plastidip as there is less prep and cleaning involved when you are ready to do bodywork. Just throwing other options out there.
