Any tips for installing window weather strip?
I recently installed new door and window weatherstrip. I hear a lot of wind noise now. I did not glue in the window weatherstrip. I noticed that the original weatherstrip that I pulled out of the window areas had some sort of adhesive or like glue in some areas. I was wondering if I’m supposed to caulk, glue, or apply some adhesive to the window weatherstrip to create an actual seal?

Two neat tricks I've learned over the years from old timers that may help..
1 One way to help locate wind noise/air leaks is to grab yourself a cheap stethoscope, then find a station on the radio that has steady static and turn it up loud and close the car up. Then you can run the stethoscope along the weatherstrip and find your air leak where the static gets louder.
2 once you find where its not sealing properly, pick up a pack of tire plugs(the 6" or so long strips of rubber covered in sticky glue) and use it to bulk up the weatherstrip. But that only works on ones where you can actually tuck it into the weatherstrip, doesn't work in every situation but may help you out. Hope that makes sense.
