check out this rotor



saw this at the local pep boys owner and parts guy couldnt figure out why the new one didnt look like the old one

nice i work at a chevy caddy dealership and we had a guy come in with his escalade and both inboard rear rotors looked like that he couldnt figure out why he was hearing a loud noise only when he applied the brakes some people

this guy said that he didnt feel any thing wrong with his brakes.
he said that he was just doing a normal brake service and figured he would change rotors and pads!

It took me a moment to figure out what it was, because I've never seen anything in that kind of condition before.

I've seen plenty like that, and I've even seen some where the rotor was disconnected from the hub because it wore through the connection between the two.

how the hell could someone not notice this? the brake pads would have disappeared and the pistons would be grabbing the rotor before it got this bad. someone had to know
