Brake pads for Baer kit

I need new brake pads for a Baer kit I put on 20 years ago. I remember being PBRs up front but are the rears PBR also? The car doesn't go to the track any more so just need something low dusting and inexpensive for the street. If I search for pads for a 1996 Corvette would that work?

Best option would probably be to call and ask Baer.

Re: Brake pads for Baer kit

It is highly doubtful that anyone here is going to know. Besides the fact that it's 20 years old, they may have offered different kit options (as they do today)..... how exactly can you expect us to know what was put on YOUR car 20 years ago with no pictures, part numbers, or even a year and model? Do you even own a third gen Camaro/Firebird? WTF?

Re: Brake pads for Baer kit

Pictures of the calipers will help a bunch but if they are what I have, 1LE/ f-body, L98 C4 vet use the same pad.
Different materials from factory I'd bet but for just cruising around, you'll be fine with any performance replacement pad for those calipers..

How do y'all like the baer kit? I measured - looks like I'd have some fitment clearance issues w/my after market boyd wheels. Just bought some 1/4 in spacers to see how clearances are and put them on. Debating buying the 6 piston kit this week - just a lotta cash to outlay.

My guess is the front is LT1 Corvette, and the rear are LT1 Camaro. Call Baer and ask if they have records of what they made going back that far.

Re: Brake pads for Baer kit

Went with the '96 Corvette pads and was correct. As expected, much better than my stock especially with drum rears. I don't track the car any more so just Amazoned some ACdelco semimetalics. At the time there weren't as many options figured out and I and a Baer discount voucher.
