WTT: 98 Cobra for a 3rd gen
1998 Cobra Convertible 5 speed 97,500 miles....White on white with black leather interior ( 1 of 46 color combo made )....mostly stock ....the only mods is these:
Flowmasters with dumps ( i am getting rid of the dumps and putting on 2 chamber flow's this weekwith pipes ran out the back)
18" Deep Dish Bullitts with Nitto 555's on it...wheels and tires both have 400 miles on them so they are new
Short throw shifter
Lowered with Eibach lowering springs
New brakes all the way around, new front rotors...rear rotors have 5,000 miles on them
Trick flow rear end girdle
Everything on the car works...no tears in the top....the top lets up and down flawlessly.....i already have done the foglight mod where the foglights come on with the park lights....i had a 86 Iroc with t-tops...got rid of that and bout a 93 Vette...then a 93 GT...then this...my heart has always been with the 3rd gens tho...
What i'm looking for:
3rd gen with no leaking t-tops....preferably a 5 speed, but if its auto i will also consider it.....i want a car that needs what this one does...nothing...i dont need a project right now,i'm lookingfor a car that the ac and everything works....heres a few pics of the car...so if anyones interested just let me know what you have and pics if possible.....

the picture of the front seat looks WAY worse than it is ...i dont know why leather looks like that in pics but i assure you its in real good condition...the back seat looks like its never been sat in...if i you need a different picture or just simply have a question i didnt answer, just feel free to ask...i dont mind answering anything at all.....oh i also have the carfax and it is clean.

Re: WTT: 98 Cobra for a 3rd gen
kelly blue books running anywhere from 8000-10000 for this car
a pretty nice, modded, low millege third gen will run you about the same
i know a guy, not saying names, but he spent $12,500 for his clean 91z vert
so, it isnt too out of hand to find a trade for a nice third gen for a car like this one. good luck on the trade man, i hope you find a nice thirgen!

Re: WTT: 98 Cobra for a 3rd gen
hahahahahah
................people realy should get a grip on how much a third gen is worth ...at best one of them will blue book for about 3,000.........i dont know what the deal is but people put a sticker price on straight crap **** camaros so outrageous that they should be slapped for it. people get a false sense of value beuase they had their motor rebuilt or whatever their justification is. i would not ever ever trade a cobra blue booking for 9000 for a third gen....hahahahahhhahaha no ****in way!! im not pointing fingers or being a **** but i had a a very very clean 84 camaro for sale on this very website, and that thing was a whole whole whole hell of a lot nicer than any ive seen for sale here, with the exeption of a few. i put a reasonable 3000 price tag and wound up selling it for 2500. thats about 600 dollars more than the car is actually worth given todays appraisal methods. but if i would have seen you wanting to trade your cobra for a third gen, then i would have been all over that idea, and you would have gotten the **** end of the deal. ill put it to you this way. the idea of you trading your cobra for a third gen and getting a fair trade....................is completely retarded. and if you do wind up trading for one, u better hope the car comes with a tub of vaselline because you will be taking it in the *** on that deal

well after reading this i would say theres a 99% chance that your 3rd gen is a rs.I dont see why he would not want to trade for a 3rd gen. you can take the engine form almost pretty much any faster car put it in the 3rdgen and now its the 3rdgen that is faster.
longstory short if you cant see why then you dont know anything about 3rd gens.
