ok i went to home depot and couldnt find that ice and water guard i was kind of rushing and i probaly go back tommorow but my dad has this rubber lineing sheet that you would put in a pond to keep water in do you think this would be ok or not? also i was going to put undercoating spray under that does undercoating work well for any sound damping im more worried about the stereo rattleing noise and if it blocked road noise that would be nice to i want peel and seal but the closet lowes to my house is like a half an hr. thanks

never heard of using pond sealant for sound deadening...I say take the "trip" to lowes. A half hour is my daily commute to work LOL Its not that long of a trip to get it...I never even knew lowes had that kinda stuff how much is it?

redraif used undercoating for soundproofing and had good success. She sprayed it all over the interior metal panels, and then used aluminum coated insulation over the top of that. This is pretty much what I have done with my car, except I used Second Skin Spectrum v2 liquid deadener (b-stock cause it's cheaper) instead of the undercoating. For about $200 for everything (insulation and liquid deadener), it is well worth it - the stereo sounds twice as good and I don't have to turn it up as loud for the same effect. Plus I don't hear much when I have the stereo off, except for when cars are going by (this may be eliminated once I treat the doors).

She's still around.
There are plenty of cheap mats on the market (like Fatmat) that it's probably not worth searching your eyeballs out to buy Peel and Seal.

Lowe's carries it in their roofing section - near the lumber. I just picked some up a few weeks ago. I think it was like $12 for 12.5 sq. ft.

Peel and seal is great only wish that it was more than 6in wide. Or maybe it dose come wider and I just don’t know?

i heard it comes in 12' by 6'' sheets for $12 for would'nt that only be 6 sq ft and not 12 and half an hr is a long drive for me since i dont even have a license yet i turn 16 in august so im pretty limited

If you really want to use a mat, buy 100sq ft of Fatmat for $100:

You can do your whole car, and some problem areas with two layers. Peel and Seal doesn't have the temperature tolerance or the adhesive strenght of materials designed for car use.
I recommend the Second Skin Audio Spectrum Sludge, but it's more expensive. The liquid deadeners get into the curves better and stay put once cured, whereas the mats have a tendency to fall off after time. If a mat falls off, it's useless.
