Stereo Stolen again New Car Alarm design

Well, i have decided to finish the rest of the camaro before I build a new audio system. By then there should be some better stuff out there anyway. On a side note I have finished designing my new car alarm. I am going to use a standard system that has a five second delay and pager system. This way they get inside the car. Now why would I want that. Well see under the hood of my car I will install powerful train horns. They put out about 152 decibles and can be heard for miles. But, still you wonder 5 second delay. Well inside the car will also be another set back in the hatch area near the amps, nitrous bottles, air suspension. I will just use the same air tank for the air suspension for the horns. Also, under the passenger seat will be a small smoke generator. I will have it blow the smoke out as well. Now hopefully between all that and being a deaf it will deture them from stealing from me or any other again. Plus, just think of all that noise people are going to wake up and run outside to see what is going on... Here is a sample of the horn: http://www.siegeengine.com/auctions/horn/horn.mpg
WHAT NOW YOU PIECES OF CRUD YOU WANT TO STEAL MY AUDIO SYSTEM FROM ME AND PUT IT IN YOUR CAR OH WHAT I JUST MADE YOU DEAF I WIN!!!! So think twice before you steal from me again because it won't happen. Also, i am going to see about checking into RF tags. Starting up a company that will install and provide you access to it via the web to tell you where say personal items are not just audio equipment. So someone steals your amp oh darn well you just pull up the site log in and find out where you **** is. BEAT DOWN TIME. Go and get your **** and kick the **** out of them. Simple resolution.... Now honestly tell me what you think of that. I know it sounds like a lot but i am sick of getting robbed and bustin my butt just so someone can take it away from me. I am not going to put up with it anymore. They like take a piece of me each time they do that. I know it is a material possesion but you know what it makes me happy. Okay I am done... I think I have worked off enough rage for the moment.

Just a thought a buddy of mine posted this on another site with this in mind. It really hits home for me... But, all i want is my gear back you know. I won't hurt them if i get it back.

This bulletin should go out to everyone. If you are ever caught ripping off someone elses **** you should have your a$$ handed to you with a baseball bat. Not one of those sissy little aluminum ones but a [censored] wood bat. I believe there should be no tolerance for ignorance of that nature. Are you so deprived of anything in life that you have to go around and take something that doesn't belong to you? Something some other poor son of a [censored] busted his or her a$$ to acquire? Well this is also a warning to all who dare. I Will Have NO [censored] MERCY If You are in my path>>

Anyway, give me your input on my idea. There is no law that states how loud my horn can not be. Also, 152 decibles will be stunning enough i would hope they would get away as it is pretty loud. I don't care who you are you should here that.

I like the idea but it's not completely original. There's a company out there that manufacturers something electric along these lines I remember reading about. It won’t do 152 dB but it still breaks 140, which is plenty loud anyway. Just be sure to hide the horn(s) away and make it hard to disable them. Give them their own separate power supply, etc.

Aside from the kill switch(es) I have in mind for my car once I do my ls1 swap I’m also going to be doing something along these lines. I’m not even going to bother with an external alarm. The car is either put in our barn at night or is left under the watchful eye of two motion sensor floods. So far nothings been touched yet.

Good idea and all, but I'd rather just not have them break into my car in the first place.

we can all only do so much... I wish they didn't break into my stuff either. I even used the policy of turning the stereo down to nothing about a mile or more away from my house. But when you drive a unique enough vehicle such as mine then you have problems.

You know you're going to set it off accidentally eventually.

That is also the reason for the 5 second delay. Also, don't have it monitor outside momvemnet or jostles. I will get it so it monitors the door actually opening or the wendows being broken. That is all.

good idea but i wouldn't publicize it like this, now all i need to remember is to pull off the rf tag and wear some hearing protection while i jack your car.

Nothing is 100%. But if your really thinking about going this way, look into the DEI 513T. One in the front and one the back should be enough. I have 5 in in my truck, and the under hood siren, and a battery backup siren behind the radio. I went over board because I got a box full of them cheep, and I could. Think about strobes too. My winter project will be some strobe that will trigger together will have the light in small tubes, then stick them places like the vents, over head light, and maker lights. Again more because I can.

They RF tags would actually be inside the units themselves. I would just take it apart and put them on the inside. So you would never know they are there unless you pull apart the amp or subs.

are these the same RF tags used to deter shoplifters? if so how would that track the items location, if not then where can i get more information about them? sounds like a great idea.

I think you can get a GPS tracking devise that is pretty small. A guy out here in AZ got his tracktor back that way. Some scumbags stole it and he tracked it to a construction yard across town. his wife talked him into calling the police, I like the baseball bat method myself. I'm gona rig a claymore land mine in the back faceing the front so when they are stealing my radio it will go off. It will destroy most of the front of the car but its just the principal of the thing.
