Rear speakers upgrade

Okay I've got the factory radio and speakers installed. I temporarly had some aftermarket kenwood 4 way 6x9 speakers installed in place of the factory rear speakers and it sounded so much better. These kenwood speakers were 4 ohm speakers and I believe the factory speakers are 8 ohm or maybe more. Can I run the kenwood 4 ohm speakers without damaging the speakers or factory head unit. I guess I don't care that much about the speakers but I don't want to burn the head unit up.

Yeah, the head unit can handle the 4 ohm load.
