Radio Draining Battery
Hey guys i have an issue, the po had hacked up the wiring for the stock radio and put in a aftermarket system with an amp running straight to the battery i removed the amp and had the stock radio wired back in but noticed that the speakers would stay on even when the car was off then eventually started draining the battery overnight, ran a draw test and the radio is drawing to high a current even when off what should i look for?

Re: Radio Draining Battery
LOL, no the radio has a wire hooked to the ignition switch circuit so the radio will only have power in the start or accessory position. all radios wire up the same this schematic is from 92 so im not sure if there is any wire color change but as you can see in this picture the wire is brown.

The accessory wire is yellow, not brown.
