you have everything apart already to run your power wire. Yes it is a little more expensive, but you really don't want to skimp on power, or grounds..
Im not sure about the best location for a chassis ground, but something that would hold well, and is cleaned to bare metal should work

I ran a 6 gauge wire from each of my amps to where the rear seat bases bolt in. Just
clean the paint off first.

You can ground anywhere to the frame as long as it is a solid contact point to bare metal. Be sure that your ground lead is the same gauge as your power wire or larger. I prefer to keep my grounds shorter than 24".
