stupid metering rod question
ok i know nothing abot carbs, but i heard that with my Lt1 cam, and ported n polished heads, i should get the lil kit that edelbrock has.. which ones should i use and will this help performance????

Tuning is not something that you can usually say "put in the following rods and jets and it'll be perfect." Every combo wants something a little different so it's a try-it-and-see kinda situation. Start from stock calibration as a baseline and make changes to ONE THING AT A TIME and see if it helps or hurts. Take notes. You are guaranteed to fail the memory test on stuff like this. Work in small changes, methodically and MEASURE the results (like at the strip). Don't go by "seat of the pants" feel- your mind will play tricks on you.

very very true....i need to just shell out 120 bucks and hit the dyno for an hour. i wonder if they have a stop watch type deal and let you make changes and not charge you for the time you are swapping crap.
on a different note i stuck a cut off in place of my cat that was gutted and dear ***, ...that sob is loud....i rival harleys... --leaves it open-- lmao :hail:

also check your plugs when you get to changing things because they will tell you if your heading in the right direction or not.
