Rochester ??
Have a Rochester 2 barrel on a truck, with a recent rebuild. Choke is set a little below the middle setting. Both adjustment screws are out 2 1/2 turns or so. The problem is it starts on the first try, stays running but when you give it any throttle it wants to die until it warms up. Then it seems to run fine. Doesn't have a tach, but I would guess the warm idle around 700-900rpm or so. I have tried adjusting the choke, and it seems to start and run better on the richer side(at least initially). But it just doesn't really make much diff. when you come off idle?? Whats going on?? Is the float to low? I'm stumped on this one. I have never had a Rochester before?? Anyone, help?
No vacuum leaks either.

You have the preheater hose going into the thermostatic air cleaner still, or did you do away with the stock air cleaner?
