Using electronic distributor with carb

I dont know if this has been asked before, because i couldnt find it. I was wondering if it is possible to use the TPI ecu/ignition on a carbed motor. For real control over the timing, not guessing based on vac and weights. This would also be helpful if the o2 sensor, map sensor, knock sensor, and other stuff like that was retained for datalogging and real time gauges. Basically just removing the injectors and Trottle body gear. Any way you could reprogram the 7730 ecu to run like this, missing a few things? thanks, Joe

Re: Using electronic distributor with carb

should work ok leave all the sensors in need tps attached to the carby and maybe turn off o2 sensor codes and leave the injector wires going nowhere should work fine
