What can I take out of my engine bay after caeb swap?
Alright, my car is a 1991 camaro RS, it was efi, but the PO swapped it to carb(for unknown reasons)
I want to clean up my engine bay. My ac and my heat doesnt work, so how would i rearrange the coolant hoses? what else can i take out? i want to remove as much as possible, for a easy 350 carb swap. any tips?

If possible though, I would like to fix my heater, as it's cold now. is it possible to have a heater with no a/c accessories?

If you are meticulous and strip the passenger side wiring back to the computer, you can get rid of a lot of wiring and reroute things. I did this by disconnecting the computer and shoving the connector out into the engine bay. Then I worked my way from there using a printout that gave the wiring color code for each individual component. I am now at the stage of rerouting (engine is still out).
Also, you can ditch the crappy factory loom and but some nice stuff. Most of the wiring on the driver's side has to stay.

I'm in the same boat. Iv got most my wires gone through my engine bay but I can't figure out a way to re route my heater hoses so that they look better and the wiring by the passenger valve cover for the starter.

as far as the heat. there are cars that came with no a/c, you can get a plate from them or some people make them, i think i have seen on here or ebay.

Re: What can I take out of my engine bay after caeb swap?
The wiring to the starter is simple. I cut the wires off back by the rear engine wire loom. Pulled the wires out of the loom and then brought them up from the rear of the engine back to the rear engine loom and re-connected them there. For the Alternator field wire I ran this back over the top of the manifold back down to the starter. I had to add a litter extra wire for this.
One other note, I did not cut all the wires in the same place as when you solder crimp them back together it would be too bulky. I staggered my cuts so the splices would be in different locations along the loom.
I have a 1/4" loom for the passenger side wires which only has the electric choke and alternator wires in it now.

Iv got a radiatior with the heater outlet. Thats how my set up is now, one hose is going to the intake, the other to the rad. But you've got my attention on the wiring. Do you have pictures so I can replicate it?

It's so tight back there that I couldn't get a good picture. I had my header off so I could get to it easier.
Basically cut your first wire and mark both ends with #1, cut your second wire and mark both ends #2 and do the same with the other two. When I connected the wires back together I used Sure Connect Sealed Butt Splices. They crimp on the wires, and then you use a heat gun to shrink the tubing on the ends and it also reflows the solder that is inside of the connector. Here's a link to the connectors page on McMaster-Carr--> http://www.mcmaster.com/#butt-splices/=owmfqq

it does look good but im guessing it was a joke since everything you need to run the car(wipers, lights, horn, wires to ign stuff) is all gone. im guessing it wont run very well that way.

Not really a joke at all. That runs right there and runs quite well. The only thing not pictured there is the MSD wires to make it run, and the radiator. The MSD wires are made so you can only see them at the box they are hidden everywhere else. The wiper motor will go back in but again that's no big deal. This is how my bay will look with a few minor adjustments. But this is also pretty bare bones. No AC no heat no smog no cruise anything that I could eliminate I did. Besides wipers.

This gives you a idea how the MSD wires will look once in all the way.
