did they ever make any thirdgen CONVERTIBLE models?

im building a 3rdgen convertible model..... started out as a 85 z28 camaro, and im building it to match my 91 RS convertible as much as possible..

of course, its a total PITA.

it wont have the right dash or the scooped GFX... but i need a car with a spoiler (and not the wing) to make the rear.. plus i couldnt find a 91-92 model...

anyway, im going to the hobby store soon to order some stuff.... any idea who makes/made one? its not in any common catalogs....

Ive never seen any verts. but you can find 91/92 ones for the right gfx and start to make that a vert.

Im gona be redoing this one with a cowl and make it a vert and do a mini turbo setup on it also. some guy on one of themidle boards cast resin turbos to scale.

yea... but i wanted that rear spoiler.... so i started with a earlier car...

you should see it right now... looks goood.

i sanded off the hood louvers and filled them it to make a RS hood like mine... making it a vert took all of 5 mins... but i have a good 2 hours in the tonnu cover...

went to the hobby store yesterday and picked up a 02 camaro SS model... im stealing the engine out of it...

i have about $60 in this stupid model so far.... i almost cant believe im spending money on something that doesnt go on my real car... lol.

3..

my nephew got ahold of it so I need to redo a few things on it!

I wish I could find a Y2K vette so I can get some wheels like what I have on the car now. All I can find are 97-99 and Z06 models!

great job on the tonneau cover...... exactly how did you make it? and excelent job on the "caps" that cover the cut marks... mines not going to have thoes, its just going to be smooth.

I went to the hobby store and bought a sheet of plastic and some modeling putty. Basically build the basic layout of the toneau, filled and sanded it and added the small details. The putty is starting to crack so I will probably do it again soon!
