Personally like 80% of people that carb is way to big for a 355 you dont need that it prol run better with vacum secondaries 750 or a 650dp but thats a monster carb it seems..besides that looks like a good price how is the interior?

Re: Thinkin of selling my vert

Even though you may have more than $6,500 in the car, it is very unlikely that you actually get that much out of the car just because it's going to be very hard to find a buyer who can get past the appearance of the car. It definatly needs some attention on the body/paint, and it's hard to tell about the true condition of the interior. With that said, a potential buyer is most likely going to be turned off from the car with that price, needing a major paint job. I'm not saying the car isn't worth $6,500 because honestly I don't know. I've never seen a convertible sell for $6,500 that needed a complete overhaul on the paint job. I'm just saying you'll be hard pressed to find a buyer with the paint in that condition. My suggestion to you is to hit up Maaco and slap a cheap paint job on there for a few hundred dollars. It won't be perfect, but it will be just enough to get a few bites I think.

Re: Thinkin of selling my vert

And also, those wheels also came on RS's, so they're not really JUST Z28 wheels.

And furthermore...upon reading more into the description...(also mind you this is just my opinion, take it or leave it)...but because you claim that you spent $1,000 on a new GM convertible top, that does not warrant an extra $1,000 in value for the car. Myself along with others have replaced our tops for much much cheaper than that. An aftermarket top (that looks better than an original GM top by the way) can be had for less than $400. An even $400 will even get you a glass window, which many people including myself have done, and it looks exponentially better than an original GM top. So with that being said, I would not justify adding $1,000 to the value of the car because you spent that much on a top.

/my $0.02

Re: Thinkin of selling my vert

Do you still have the stock hood? Will it fit? I would try and get it back to an original look as much as possible. Many vert owners like the cosmetics of the vert over the raw power. Power is nice, but you seldom get the money back on that investment. The stance looks funny to me, maybe the tires are too tall or something. If you have 91 wheels, that would also help. I've seen them for as little as $150 a set.

The interior looks good, if it runs well and you can get it looking a bit less hodge podge you may get closer to what you are asking. Good luck.
