Is there a trim piece missing from this car?

The mechanic who inspected my car said there should be a trim piece where the surface rust is in this picture. Is there such a piece? Where can I can get it? Nothing mentioned in any searches! Thanks Mike

Re: Is there a trim piece missing from this car?

Where the top matches up to the body, there is to be a clear "sticker" to protect the paint. Someone on here just recently started to reproduce them. You will need to repaint that before you put the sticker down or its just going to keep rusting.

Now inside which is hard to see in that picture, should be a black hump. It is just glued down to the car.

I have the black hump inside, that is fine. I will probably just remove the lid and have it repainted. I didn't thing there was a trim piece. Thanks

You are not missing anything, attached is a picture mine after paint and with the Jstoltz decal installed.

Its not trim. Its just a clear sticker/decal to protect the paint from scratching.
