Is my water pump going the right way?
on my 1989 formula i have a edelbrock aluminum water pump, when i bought the pump my car still had the serp setup on so im thinking its a reverse flow pump, now i have a v-belt set up on it with the same pump, the belt goes around the water pump the crank and the alternator, so can some one confirm my thought of the water pump now running the wrong way, cause it does seem run hot, around 220-230 with a 160 thermostat

You converted a Serpentine belt system to a V-belt system?
Yes....The Serpentine pumps are a Reverse Rotation pump, so I'm betting the pump you put back on, is turning the wrong way.

Re: Is my water pump going the right way?
yea i converted from a serp belt to a v belt, all i run is an alternator and a waterpump so it was easier and cheaper to do a v belt setup, thanks im thinking its going the wrong way i just wanted to make sure
