Waterpump Replace

What size torx bits are needed to replace the water pump on a 1989 camaro 2.8? I want to replace my water pump but only want to buy the right ones I need and do you have to use a special tool to hold the timing cover in place to do it?

Re: Waterpump Replace

while i'm not familiar with the v-6 engine , just buy a whole set . they are not very expensive , you can get a whole set for about 20bux or less . also a good addition to your toolbox . good luck .

Re: Waterpump Replace

Hey Uncle Tom, excellent advice as always. The first time I worked on my Iroc none of my tools fit the fasteners on it so off to Walmart. Good tools for the price.
