Radiator Recommendation Wanted

I have an 88 Trans Am with a 383 that needs a HD Radiator......ordered one online but need to modify the lower support area on the car to make it fit....are there any HD direct fit rads that are a direct drop in with no sheetmetal mods necessary?....Thanks

Re: Radiator Recommendation Wanted

I'm not sure if Dewitts is worth the money....unless you have the money and mindset for "Only the best!". If you want high quality bling....you can't go wrong with DeWitts. If you're looking for high value (high cooling capacity for low[er] $$) then I think something like a Champion is worth a look.

This coming from someone who bought and has a DeWitts, and it's good...it's a nice piece. If I were doing it again, however, I'd probably buy something less expensive, b/c the benefits of the DeWitts haven't really justified the price, IMO.

I would have to see a Champion in person before I weighed an opinion. I too bought a DeWitts. I paid for quality, and I got it. The welds and overall build quality was very nice.

Re: Radiator Recommendation Wanted

Anyone have any experience on Frostbite (Holley) radiators? I see they are on sale but I am kind of weighing the quality vs price. I see some like Dewitts are quite pricey but it may go back to, "you get what you pay for." I will say I am replacing my L98 with a build 355 so I figure it would be a good time for a new radiator and not looking for "customizing" per se. Leaning towards Be Cool or Griffin
