what am i to do about a eprom programmer is there away to use usb

What type of programmer? No printer port or com port?

If you haven't already bought a programmer, the only USB programmer I know of is from Moates.

If you have and it uses a parallel port, then you have no options for converting to USB.

i have not bought a programer yet i was looking at the pocket programer due to the fact it is tried and true. i have a lap top that has a serial port and usb i was hoping that there was a way to add on to the laptop a perillel port to my dell d400

The moates programmer supports all chips you'd ever need for DIY-PROM and is only $75.

If you want a PP2, you'll also need to buy a parallel port interface PCI card in order to use it.

dose the moates come with the software to use it or is there a program out that that he likes you to use with it
