Time constants
I'm looking through the $8D errors and am finding qualification times that are referenced in hacks as in Seconds although some of the conversions show multiples of 10.
Some indicate 12 seconds for a value others 120.
Is there a time conversion or like I'm thinking this is due to the loops they reside in?

Im not real familiar with how the $8D is set up but all the loops are run at specific time intervals. Counters are used to keep track of the time thats gone by. If a loop is run 10 times a second then each tick would be 1/10 of a second. Like you speculated, youd have to look at the code the timer is related to as well as the loop that it resides in to figure out the time interval between ticks. To further complicate things, there may also an engine run timer and/or a real time subroutine counter thats used as well.
