TunerPro won't read my wideband LM-1 thru AutoProm

first of all, i have the newer style AutoProm APU1 with the 3 0-5v inputs.
checked the analog out with my voltmeter and the voltage is correct.
setup my aldl definition file outlined here - http://www.moates.net/zips/wideband_...nerpro_lm1.pdf
ran the AutoProm A/D data interface thru the tools menu and the afr shows the correct reading that is displayed on the LM-1, i can only do this with the outer switch in the toward usb position. when i switch it over the the standalone datalogging (away from usb position) it does not read at all, it just sits at 10.00afr, am i doing something wrong?
is it only possible to use this function while emulating, because i am currently having problems being able to emulate and datalog at the same time.
i called craig about this, and he was the one suggesting to run the A/D data interface to check it, and all is good, but still not showing up on the datalog.

Try using S_aujpv4....

Mine worked right away...even before I set it up correctly. At least it will let you know if something else is preventing it from working right.

Re: TunerPro won't read my wideband LM-1 thru AutoProm

I just used mine today and from what I can recall the breakout channels only work in AP mode with TP. It didn't register when set on the Max232/comm setting.
I will be trying again tomorrow and will double check that. I'm pretty sure thats what I was seeing.
Makes sense though, that the data can only come out in the datastream that is configured in TP.
Other apps do not have a way to read the it (AFAIK)
On my breakout, the numbers were reversed and had to make this confirmation.

(going by the terminal numbers)
Channel 1 = 67-68
Channel 2 = 65-66
Channel 3 = 69-70

Last edited by JP86SS; 04-19-2008 at 09:26 PM. Reason: Breakout channel numbers added

Re: TunerPro won't read my wideband LM-1 thru AutoProm

ok... i got it figured out.... the problem was i had the byte data set to 65 and was using channel 1 but aparently my channel 1 = 69-70 im not sure about all the rest of the channels cause i didn't check them since i only need the one channel. oh and i talked to craig again and he said it will only work in autoprom mode out switch inboard, and the inner switch needs to be inboard for 90+ cars and outboard for 89 and earlier. thanks JP86SS for pointing me in the right direction.

hope someone comes up with a software program with an "auto tune" feature where you can set your afrs at a certain map+rpm and it auto tune's it to give the corrected fuel adjustment. my honda tuning program has this feature and i can tune honda's in an hour or so, these VE tables drive me nuts.
