A little help from you GURU'S please....

I have been tuning a bit on my 95 GMC 5.7. I have data logs but cannot seem to find out how to export the BLM values into chart form. Will someone please help me out on this? I have exported the log but it comes out in columns and rows. I'm wanting to get it into the traditional RPM vs. MAP chart. I have the OD, BYJM, Advanced $ODv175 Definition.

Thanks in advance...I hope.

You'll probably have to play around with your spreadsheet to make it work. I'm pretty sure that TunerPro doesn't have the capability to export in this fashion.

Well, I guess if Tuner Pro cannot export this info the way I need I will just use WinAld for it.

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

The new version of TunerPro can be setup with a histogram or history table with BLM values according to RPM and Loads.
Setting the scaling up so it is the same as your VE table will allow you to just export it (cut/paste) directly to a spreadsheet.
You can make the spreadsheet calculate the new VE values off the imported BLM table.
Can be done, just takes the work up from to make it happen.

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

Wow, that's great! Now how would a shmuck like myself go about getting Tuner Pro RT to do that?? Is there a link or anything that I could read that would tell me how to do it? I hate asking people to guide me through something if I could just read something and do it. I don't want to be a bother but that would be great if you could help me.

Thanks,

R.S.

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

Edit the definition on the aquisition menu.
Add item (under histogram)
Name it and give the unique ID a name too.
Set "Z" to be the BLM value.

Enter number of rows in your VE table and lable accordingly.
Set the related item to "Y" = RPM

Enter number of columns in your VE table and lable accordingly.
Set the related item to "X" = MAP Kpa

Save.

I will give you a good hint on this...
When making your table view, add an extra row for RPM where your two VE table overlap (namely the 1600 RPM row in $8D as an example)
The data can "stack up" on you in those cells when the RPM is out of range of that particular table yeilding the average reading of all cells that are out of range.
To ensure you get good data for the 1600 RPM row add a row of 1700 RPM for the lower table and add a 1200 RPM row for the upper table.
You'll see what I mean once you populate some data in there.

You can also just make one large table and cut paste out the sections you want. I just found it nice to scale it exactly how the VE table is and then make an autocorrection spreadsheet I can paste into.

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

Man I have looked all over this thing and searched several sights to figure out where you are refering to so I wouldn't have to ask this...

Sigh, where would I go about finding the aquisition menu & histogram? I thought the aquisition menu would be the main Menu on the left side of the screen. (Constant/Scalers, Flags/Switches, Tables/Functions) But I don't see where you are refering. I did a search for that and for histogram and came up with nothing. I don't mean to come across as a simplton but I don't see where you are refering. I would very much appreciate a little more help to find where you are talking about. Thank you so much for the knowledge you have provided so far and I look forward to getting some more if you are so kind to do so.

Thanks again,

R.S.

Acquisition > Edit Definition, then you should see History Tables. Click on this and then click the Add Item button at the bottom.

I never knew what this was for until JP (guru) explained it.

I do have the most recent version. 4.14.0381 that the search found. I looked and I don't see the V5.5197. Where is it located on the site?

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

O.k. I have done everything posted and it doesn't freeking work.
I go up to the Aquisition Tab, choose Edit Definition. At that point there is nothing that says (Histogram). I see a (History Tables). I click on that and go to (Add New Item). I fill out the Title and Unique ID, under discription I put RPM vs. MAP, then click on the (Z) and get a encountered an error message when I go to add (BLM). What am I doing wrong?

Re: A little help from you GURU'S please....

Have you told it how many cells of each to use (how many rows/columns)? I just created one for Knock Retard based on RPM vs LV8 (just like my SA table) and it's working like a charm.

Now that I see how well this is working, I'm going to make one to average my BLMs based on MAF voltage. Should make tuning a bit easier.

Yeah, I filled out the tables then went back to add in the output Z box. It is shaded out but allows me to click on the side box to search for a definition. There is nothing in there and will not let me type anything in there.
