Blinker help!!

I put underdrive pulleys on my 'bird a while ago, and the blinkers have REALLY slowed down, like I mean almost not blinking. Any way that I can speed them up? I was thinking maybe the relay/capacitors out of something that blinks a lot faster, so it'll be at a medium rate? Any help or suggestions appreciated.

the pulleys slowed down your alternator, witch then isn't putting out as much voltage, that's why your blinkers are slow

That one I was aware of, I"m just looking for a way to speed them up again without taking off the pulleys.

i think our cars use a 555 flasher unit, go into your local parts store and tell them you want an ELECTRONIC 555 flasher. it will look like a relay instead of the little metal canister. it just plugs in where the old one did.

And this will blink at a constant rate even with the lower voltage? If so, thanks!

it should, it is timed electronicly, not by the voltage/load placed on it

Replacing the thermal flasher with an electronic flasher will cure the problem. I used one in my Z for the same reason, after installing under drive pulleys. Pep Boys, AutoZone, Checker, etc. sell the electronic flashers - they run about $6 - $8.

Thanks for the help. Now just cause I'm lazy, and as long as we're on the subject, where are the flashers located? =)
