which wire for SGI-5b box on a non computer car? HELP PLZ!!

Quick help on SGI-5b wiring PLZ !!
Ok so i have a new 350 in my engine bay, and no longer have the computer controlling it. My problem is that the computer is no longer in the car.... at all. So where under the dash do i hook the signal wire from the SGI-5b box into the speedo?

options im thinking:
1. from the little yellow box that goes to the speedo
2. directly off of the speedo somewhere

I think #1 would be easier if it would work. Either way i dont know actually which wire (ie color) im looking for. I have a 92 camaro. Can anyone help me?

ok i have the same problem and what i just did was take i think B7 from the ecm(its yellow controls the vss) and i just cut and soldered a wire from it inside the car so i can just run it to the box. you need another wire. tan/white??? maybe. but whatever the case it goes from the ecm to the tach.

so youre talking about a single wire that goes in one side of the box, as opposed to one of the 4 or 5 wires coming out of the other side?

erg i guess i forgot to mention that i dont have the same transmission or gears either. Also i didnt do the swap myself,a shop did for me. I am no about 125 miles away from that shop so its going to be kind of hard to get them on the same page as me. But you said the buffer y's to the speedo. Do you know which color wire that is. Also, can i just bypass the buffer now and go from the SGI-5b box straight to the speedo? or do i have to go from the SGI-5b - to the buffer box - to the speedo?

it should be a brown wire. i was suprised when i got my car running and noticed the speedo working because everyone kept telling me it would not work. in the tech artical they talk about removing the govenoron are cars by splicing into the harness with a switch. one of them state if you do it close to the computer the speed will still work so this is why i'm saying it y's off. i'm only going from my own experince. i hope this helps...
