Brights and Wipers Won't Turn Off
I just picked up a 1989 Camaro RS, and am currently in the process of getting it up to par to pass the state safety inspection.
The last two little gremlins that I am dealing with are that the wipers won't turn off (without pulling the fuse that is), and the brights are on anytime that the headlights are turned on.
Are these problems related? Has anyone else experienced these issues? What needs to be replaced to get these things working normally?

That took care of the brights. Thanks very much. Now if I can just figure out how to get the windshield wipers to work properly.

Wipe Type
It’s the park mechanism or a bad switch.
Disconnect the wiper motor module connectors C1 & C2.
Have the wiper switch in the OFF position.
Have the key in the ACC position.
Measure voltage on C2a.
Measure voltage on C1b.
They need to be zero.
If you have voltage there the switch is bad, or a wire is shorted to a voltage source.

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going Backwards
Fog lights are not driving lights. They look doofy. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!
