There were no OE 185's. Is this an after market?

I'm guessing he has a Canadian speedometer. 115mph = about 184kph. His profile says Ontario. Speedo head swap should be plug & play.

Re: 84 instrument panel to 89

You will need to pull the gauges, speedo, and tach ( Anything that you want to use ) from the 89 cluster and install them into your 84 cluster.

The 1989 clusters printed circuit is not completely compatable with the 1984 dash harness. If you try to simply plug the 89 cluster into the 84 dash than you will have problems with the backlighting as well as the BRAKE warning light. ( look where the BRAKE light is located on Each cluster ! )
