No tach or speedo

Car: 91 Z28 / 04 GTO
Engine: GMPP 350 TPI / LS1
Transmission: WC T5 / T56
Axle/Gears: 3.23 / 3.46
No tach or speedo
Background on the car, It's a 91 Z28 that I swapped an 88 350 and 700r4 into. All the wiring is for MAP and I'm still sorting through the hack job previous owners have done. I have a VSS plugged in and the tach used to work. Funny thing is when I bang on the dash the needles move and my voltage gauge never goes below 14 volts.

Lack Of Tack
If the needles move in the correct direction when banging it might just be a loose connection in one of the two dash connectors.
After looking at those if the problem is still there you might have a crack in the circuit board.
If you’re getting ground, 12 volts, and pulses to the tach board and the tach doesn’t work the electronics or needle movement is defective.

Here is some reading and a diagram from a 92 that should be pretty darn close to if not exact to your setup.
