how to bypass my VSS?
I did an LS1 swap and my speedo doesnt work. I know the computer is getting and outputting a speed because I have a scan gauge mounted in my car that reads the OBDII port.
I figured I could bypass the chassis wiring and wire the VVS straight to the back of the speedometer. When I did that however the guage worked (immediately going to 140 when I revved it) but I lost the speed coming out of the OBDII port.
I bypassed it by running one of the VVS wires to the signal, not ignition side of the speedometer. Do I need to run a wire from the output of the computer to the back of the speedometer?
I just want my factory gauges to work, thanks for the help!

Re: how to bypass my VSS?
If the car was V6 or TPI, connect the speedo output from the PCM (R50) to C207 pin D (gry)
If the car was TBI, then connect it to C207 pin K (brn) and bypass the buffer box by connected pins C and F
Should work fine now. Be sure your PCM has the proper conversion factor for your rear end gearing and tire diameter
