LT1 Harness / PCM questions... no injector pulse or 5v references
Hello all..
I am trying to make sure my PCM isnt dead!
Im have a 96 obdii LT1 from an impala installed in my 88 camaro .
I have a techrods wiring harness installed. The Pink wire is direct to battery
http://www.techrods.com/Products/Engine%20Harnesses/RWD/LT1/1996-97%20LT1/1996-97%20LT1.htm
We are trying to get the car to start,
First we found that we had no injector pulse.. then no 5v anywhere,
Hooked OBDii scanner to harness and it doesnt read the computer at all.
We unhooked the black connector because the pinout said pin 15 is direct to battery.. using a tester light/meter found it wasnt 12.v but it was grounded.. and some of (i forgot wich but can look) of the other wires around it had 12 v.
Did techrods miswire my harness? Should I trace pin 15 orange wire (and I read 31) and see if its connected to a ground instead of the pink power lead?
Is it safe to cut this and wire it direct to battery bypassing the rest of the harness?
thanks

Nevermind....
found out this bundle of terminals on black wire that looked like a ground actually was supposed to go to battery... hooking harness back on and trying again
