Starter Wiring Issue
Hello,
My starter went bad on my 1991 Trans Am, so my friend volunteered to replace it. He started but never finished and now I have no idea where the wires go. There are 3 leads from the harness and the red power cable from the battery. Can anyone help? It only looks like there are two places on the starter to hook up wires just don't want to screw it up.
Thank you for the help in advance.

Re: Starter Wiring Issue
If other wires are red they go on the big stater terminal along with the cable from batt.
Size of lugs on wires should give a indication where they went ?

Re: Starter Wiring Issue
Thank you!
That would make sense because when I got to it the purple wire did not have a ring terminal on the end. I assumed it was the same size as the others and replaced it with one of equal size.
So, I will put the other wires on the big terminal and put the purple one on the small terminal.
Thank you very much!
