some dash lights work
switched the headlight switch and the dimmer switch, and just replaced the lamp sockets and bulbs with leds and the warning lights with regular 194 lights. 3 of the gauge lights work and 3 of the warning lights work. if i move the cluster around it changes to 1 warning light and 2 gauge lights, i cant get more than 3 to work. my dad said it could be the printed circuit not making good contact, any ideas to what this could be?

Your Dad is probably correct on his trouble shooting, if you look around you can find a new printed circuit. If you are really handy you can as I have repair yours with a rear window defroster repair kit.

Re: some dash lights work
yeah we thought it was the printed circuit before we replaced the lamp sockets. i can get a new printed circuit for $50-60 from classic industries. but how do you repair it with a rear window defroster kit. sounds alot cheaper and something to just try before we spend $50 on a new one

The kit comes with a liquid copper solution that when painted on a bad piece of circuit and allowed to dry it will complete said circuit.

I think the last one I bought was from Carquest but I would think any parts store should have it.

That is the right one good luck on your repair, let me know if it works for you. Sometimes you will want to use more than one coat.

Re: some dash lights work
ok so i used the copper solution on it and basically used up the whole bottle, at first it only made 3 more lights work but then i twisted the lamp socket and i got all but 3 leds working and 1 running light. the 3 leds are all part of one circuit on the printed dash and the problem seems to be the printed dash is not making contact with the piece of metal that the printed circuit gets its power from on the car (sorry i have no idea what to call it) we tried pulling it and bending it out a little but it wants to go back to its original spot. we figured to stop there and work on it later. anyways product worked great and apply the instructions to the printed circuit. hopefully within a week all of my dash lights will be working

OK thanks for letting me know you had some success with this project, you can also use soulder and very fine flexible wire to bridge some gaps but always take you time and think it tlhru. Very low heat and very fine solder if you have an area that this will work for. Sorry having trouble spelling solder.

I am having the same problem..all of my warning lights work, SES, Seatbelt, etc. But the lights for the dash; speedometer, rpm and such dont light up anymore. I just need help figuring out if its the bulbs the printed circuit, or something else. Thanks

Well you will have to test the bulbs with an ohm meter or battery and if they are good something else is wrong.
