TRC?
Can somebody help identify what this part is please? It says TRC, then below it 016C. Found it connected to the bundle of wires that hooks up to the positive lead of the battery. Is this something that needs to be hooked up to something? And what does it do?

That’s a fuse holder.
Disconnect it and you will find out if it’s hooked up to something.

Re: TRC?
Thanks both for your replies. I assumed my signature (which had my car info) would show up, but I didn't look that far into it.
So the TRC box is just a fuse holder? So I can just attach to a bolt or chassis ground and it'll be alright?

Re: TRC?
Batt Pos terminal - fuse - item being protected - ground.
The fuse doesn't go on the ground side of the item as you suggest.
It would do nothing.
As suggested you need to find out what circuit / item it is or was protecting

Re: TRC?
A fuse is installed on a supply wire to protect a circuit.

This is not totally correct, a fuse could be installed on a ground lead of a device. There is equal current flowing in the ground wire as there is in the positive wire of a device.
Generally though on negative ground vehicles the fuse is installed in the positive side to blow in the case of short circuit of the supply wire.
