More alarm problems...

I could've sworn I had this stupid thing wired up right. I am now blowing fuses everytime I hit my power lock switch in the car. Also the keyless locks are not signaling the motors or something, probably something with the wiring. Help please!! I need to attempt to finish this today

How should I hook up these wires especially on lock side. I'm also still confused as to what type of locks I have along with door switch. Sorry to keep editing and adding... But also, what about dome output? I'm normally an expert on this wiring especially since my harness is chopped up from previous owners, but this is kicking my butt!

Re: More alarm problems...

Look at the diagram in the link below.

http://austinthirdgen.org/mkportal/m...ody_wiring.gif

The power lock circuit is in the upper left side.

Note that the existing lock switches just "flip" the 12v feed to the door lock relay which will lock or unlock the door. The way you have your alarm hooked up, it's probably grounding the 12v feed (shorting it to ground) causing the fuse to blow.

I "think" you have a reverse polarity system. Look on Page 13 of your alarm manual for the diagram.

I have never installed an alarm system so you might want to wait for a more informed member to confirm this.

Re: More alarm problems...

Meant to get back to post yesterday, but I forgot. Yes, it was reverse polarity and works with no problems! Thanks for the help!
