Ignition switch replaced, now headlights dont work.

My 88' Carmaro(5.7L) wouldnt start one night, had it towed to a shop, and had the ignition switch replaced and the car starts an runs fine. Drove the car to work and that night I noticed my headlights and dash lights were no longer working when I tried to turn them on. All other lights are working, interior lights, flashers, turn signals, marker lights and I believe fog lights as well. Ive already replaced the light switch itself in hopes that would fix the problem but no such luck.
has anyone else ever had this issue, is this common, and if so, was there a fix?

Thank you everyone for your time!

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the evil "shop" place unplugged things that didn't get plugged back in. Specifically, as to the headlights, the high beam switch lives in the same neighborhood as the ignition switch, and leaving that unplugged would render both the high beams and the low beams inoperative. As to the dash lights, I've got no handy guesses there because they shouldn't be involved in either the ignition or high beam switch. Go back to the evil "shop" place and tell them to fix the stuff that worked before they dinked with your car........

If you have time to "play" with that shop, see if the problem is indeed the dimmer switch connector is disconnected. Then take it back to the shop and see if they will, or even can, fix it. It would be interesting to hear the results!

On the dash lights: is the headlight switch **** turned to the full CCW position?
