ZZ383/SP383 hydraulic roller cam
Came with the HT383 short block I ordered. Never been run. I'm putting in a different cam.

Re: ZZ383/SP383 hydraulic roller cam
No it's definitely the ZZ383/SP383 cam, not the HT383.
HT383 is small... 196/206 @.050. ZZ383 is 222/230 @.050
Basically what happened was I ordered the GM crate 383 short block, which is common across the ZZ/SP/HT line of 383's that GM sells. The short block is actually advertised as no cam included (among other things like timing chain, oil pump, etc). But when I got the short block (dropped shipped from Scoggin Dickey, through Summit Racing), it came with all that stuff.
I contacted Scoggin Dickey who said what I received as correct in their view, and that the cam was p/n 19210723 (the ZZ383/SP383 cam) So I ended up with this cam that I don't need. The cam has some numbers on it, but not this GM p/n. It's billet steel, not cast iron core.
However, to validate what they were telling me, I used my degree wheel to validate the specs.
