yes, the v6 mounts are different than the v8 ones on both the frame and motor. On the frame, the v8 mounts are bigger and they mount on the frontmost part of the crossmember. On the motor, the mounts are wider. The frame mounts can be got at any auto parts store for very cheap, but i don't know where you can get the motor mounting ones

Junkyard or dealership has the clamshells (mounts that sit on the engine), just check the junkyards, they don't even have to come from a camaro I believe the silverados used the same mounts, not sure what year (I got mine from a silverado engine). Dealership wants 45 bucks for one side. thats 90 bucks, the dealer calls them engine braces I believe. They bend you over. Got mine at the junkyard for 15 bucks for both.

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
All I did for the brake line when I did the V6-V8 swap, was to remove the clips holding it to the crossmember, and carefully moved it back to clear the V8 mounts. Just be sure not to pinch it when you are setting the engine in place.
I *think* I left one clip in the middle as it was.
