Car: 1991 RS Camaro (Jet Black)
Engine: 95 383 CI (6.3) LT1
Transmission: 95 T-56
Cheapest way is spraying, no way around another cheap way. Steven, who has a stock 91 350 tpi with 4.11 gears and slicks barely ran a 13.9. Only way your getting there is with some headers and the smart way would be to change the intake. You could also slap a carb on but you want good gas milage.

Car: Guess
Engine: Crazy 8
Transmission: So close to being a manual I can taste it
For 2500 it will be tight. You can do all the engine work in the world but if you can't get traction, then what good is it. If it were me, I would do suspension and frame work first, that is a good set of SFC, rear end, shocks/struts, tires. Then I would see what it runs and then save more for the engine work. You said it has 120K on it.

Engine work...Cam, heads, intake, exhaust...its gonna get expensive. Look at ebay or other places to find good inexpensive stuff. As for a combo, lots of guys have done very well with the LPE 219 cam/AFR 195 heads/Accel SuperRam intake. Those with a solid 350/383 and about 9.5-10:1 compression ratio will get you in about the neighborhood you would want to be in. Of course then you need computer tuning!!!!

Don't get discouraged, just do one thing at a time. Do in once, do it right the first time...

You're 16, don't get in a hurry. If all you've got is $2500, do suspension and rearend now and get the maximum out of what you have now, then when you have the money build up a better engine. what 92 zzz28 suggested would be a great combo, but good luck getting that built and getting the traction necessary with the money you've got.
