motor and trans removal
i have basically everything off of my engine so far, the mounts are unbolted and im pretty sure all i have left is the trans, should i just keep a jck under the tranny and unbolt the crossmember and trans mount and it will just drop down?also where is the VSS attached, can i remove this when it is unbolted and dropped down? or is there not enough room? i have the car up on jack stands in the back, (about 12 inches) and the fron up on the standard ramps (however high they go) would i need to get it higher to be able to hoist the motor and trans out? thanks for everything this swap is hard enough out in the cold, the last thing i need to do is screw this up..... alll help is really appreciated..... -thanks, ill also try to get some pictures today while i attemp to remove the engine

The VSS (if electronic, which I believe a '91 would be - just don't know from personal experience) is located on the transmission tailshaft housing just like a mechanical speedo cable would be. All you should have to do is unplug the harness.
The jack under the pan is a good idea. That's the way I go about it, except this time I plan on using the tranny cradle jack I have now which I didn't last time. That doesn't require the 2x4 under the pan, and rolls more easily with the eng/tranny movement.
A tilt sling is a good idea, if you hadn't already made provision for that.
