Anything can be done, use search button theres plenty of threads on BBC swaps. Have to modify the K member for headers though or buy a tubular K member

Re: engine swap
Can anyone give me some advice. i am looking to replace my engine 5.0 305 TPI on 88 firebird trans.. I am not doing it myself but taking it to a shop. I was reading some people saying i should upgrade to 5.7 TPI. Any suggestions and what type of mods should i have them do. I dont have a ton of money looking to spend about 2000-3500 but i just dont want to spend the money and find out for an extra couple hundred bucks i could have gained alot more. I am a rookie so break it down a little bit for me. If you know of any websites or shops to recamend please let me know.

Re: engine swap
You could do that, but I would just use a manifold and carb, and call it a day. Also I would search and search for information. You will end up spending more money if you don't do the research ahead of time.

Re: engine swap
Your not going to gain anything but simplicity with a carb. And some carbs like quadrajets can still get decent mpg and have the secondaries to really give you the power. I myself would go with a carb, but you can go FI too.

Re: engine swap
Carb is cheaper then FI once you start building a motor. I have heard good and bad things about TPI, for a street car I guess it's a good thing.
