pic doesn't do them justice, the flash makes them look funny, in the flesh they are a near perfect colour match, they are the same colour as the lower part of the door card, so look right at home in there.

you need to sit in them to appreciate just how good they are, i did a 2 hour (each way) drive yesterday and an hour (each way) today, and they feel exactly the same after 2 hours as they do when yuo first sit in them.

350 miles this weekend!

Thanks dude, to be honest, i was sure they'd be good, even though i was colour matching from memory, but i couldn't have hoped they'd look or feel as good as they do!

my prefered swap would probably be the buick V6 turbo engine, but they are too much stress.

the Goodwrench crate engine (£1500 - 250 bhp) with a more agressive cam and vortec heads ( would be in the 300 BHP ballpark) would suit me perfectly, and should turn in very low 14's to high 13's

The car does distance almost every time it goes out, with a mate living in western France, and parents who now have a place in Spain, it needs to be a good distance car, so reasonably quiet exhaust, comfy seats, soft ish suspension, and decent economy are all important.

no, not manual windows, its the ultra rare power window delete option, only fitted for 1 week in 1986, RPO code T1T

now all we need is someone to verify it, someone to argue it was actualy RPO code 5EX, someone else to say it was after market, three other people to claim it was never available, and two people to say camaro's never even had windows, and we're all idiots!

I like the 8 ball style shifter. My old 85 V6 I had in CT had one of those also. I kinda miss that car, althouth the replacement 'vert is nice also

Don't change your shifter whatever you do. I think it's cool the way it is.

they are absolutely fantastic, even better when i get the power connected in a couple of weeks!

driving the car last night, i'm still amazed how different the seats, the gun metal coloured dash, and the steering wheel make the car feel.

Felix, yes, they feel classy as well, the seating position and now the feel of the seats and 'wheel, are decidedly remenisant of a porsche 944

Phil, say it isn't so. I don't think there's a single thing about the 944 that was good. 928 on the other hand....

the seating position is similar, having said that, the position is similar to a 928, its about the only thing they share in common.

thankfully its not at all similar to a 911, ugh, i couldn't deal with pedals sprouting from the floor!

Any problems or modifications in getting those seats fitted ?

none at all, direct bolt in fit, they sit same height and position as the origionals. I even used the 4th gen seat belt recievers (buckles)

They appear stock - Not at all out of place. Looks good, and likely feels and smells good, too.

Now that they're installed, you'll want to remember the annual conditioning to keep them from cracking.

As for the horn sounder trim, it's a different material, so aging will alter the appearance and result in a different color (er, colour). Short of painting the entire trim, I'm not certain how the two could be matched.
